What Is a Centrifugal Pump?

A centrifugal pump is used to transport fluids by the conversion of rotational kinetic energy from one or more rotors. A rotor, or impeller, is an integral component of the centrifugal pump. The fluid enters the pump, is accelerated by the impeller, and then cast out of the pump by centrifugal force.
